Fast X Film Review: Exciting Racing And Exciting Action

Fast X This time tries to answer fans' complaints by presenting more interesting action scenes. However, this film still has difficulty holding back so that there are many parts that are still too hyperbolic and break through reasonable boundaries. I've tried to manage expectations and get rid of reason a little before the story begins. My memory is still fresh when I see the 'magical' scenes from the last series.

For example, the moment Dom and Brian crossed a skyscraper by car in Furious 7 (2015), or Tej and Roman driving a car into outer space in F9 (2021). The decision to be indifferent to matters of logic was quite right. I have to admit Fast X is full of entertainment with tons of crazy action scenes.

Louis Leterrier, who replaced Justin Lim as the director, managed to translate the script nicely. He is jor-rod in pouring elements of the fight through shootouts, car chases, to flexing with sophisticated equipment. I was lulled by the entertaining action scenes, until I realized that the story of this film is far from good.

Leterrier failed to live up to expectations for story matters. He is just like me or other spectators, ignoring the plot and instead being engrossed in playing around with bombastic action scenes. Some parts of the story seem to ignore logic or keep the story in order. As a result, I didn't get into the strong motives behind each character's steps or decisions.

Another impact of the poor quality of the story is that several scenes end in hyperbolism and don't make sense. The shape is indeed not as bad as before, but the scene is still disturbing.

One thing that still resonates is the scene of Dom teaching his son, Brian Marcos, how to drift, who looks not even 10 years old. Or when Dom managed to bring down two helicopters with the gas pull of his Camaro.

Luckily, Fast X was starred by an elite class ensemble, so it was enough to save the story. There is no doubt about the chemistry between the main characters, considering that they have been together for many years.

Dom and Letty's relationship has grown more mature, especially since they raised Brian Marcos. The fierce Dom Toretto also often shows his fragile side through the father-son scene with Brian aka Little B.

The interactions of other characters such as the comical Roman and Tej, plus Han and Ramsey further color the 'family' dynamic.

However, the charm that catches the most attention actually comes from Jason Momoa who plays Dante Reyes, Dom's newest enemy. The eccentric and crazy character of Dante Reyes is perfect for Jason.

He is almost flawless and even dominates when he incarnates as Dante. The new life of this film can be felt every time Dante comes up with a crazy plan because of his obsession with Dom.

In fact, I think Dante Reyes deserves to be named as one of the most interesting Fast & Furious Saga villains and managed to save Fast X from boredom.

He appears for one purpose only: to wreak havoc in the craziest way possible. Of course, that method succeeded in making me and most people entertained.

Appreciation also needs to be given to Jakob Toretto. John Cena offers a different freshness when appearing as 'babysitter' Little B. Unfortunately, Dante and Jakob didn't get the chance to share the screen for a longer time.

I also feel that Leterrier is building a big plot to end this saga. He did everything possible for that, including uniting almost all the important characters to fight Dante.

In fact, there is an odd feeling when you see one villain after another finally befriending Dom. Because the process behind it feels so fast, as if ignoring the emotional impression that has been built from the previous story.

In the end, this narrative can only be defended for nostalgic reasons. Fast X doesn't seem to want to miss the opportunity to unite the iconic characters from the saga in one screen.

Bringing together elite class actors who have appeared in the Fast & Furious saga, for me, is definitely a magic trick from the producers. Fast X seems to be a sign that the next two or three films that close the saga will be more grandiose and ambitious.

This is made clear by the arrival of two iconic characters at the end of the story and the post-credits scene, which again raises eyebrows because logic is difficult to understand.

However, what is the meaning of story and logic if this franchise continues to sell well in the market thanks to the 'popcorn' action scenes that are so entertaining. The previous series of films also continued to gain box offices of up to trillions of rupiah, even though they were full of magical scenes beyond reason.

I think this saga will still be awaited until it really ends, at least for fans who have followed Dom's journey so far.

Even with the hint that was thrown through Fast X, Louis Leterrier could be preparing an ending to the Fast & Furious Saga that is as ambitious as Marvel Studios' Avengers: Endgame.

For those of you who are still unsure about watching, here is a list of reasons why you must watch this film starring Karen Gillan.

Guardians of The Galaxy Vol.3 Storyline is Neat and Thrilling

Several films released by the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) have various storylines. Guardians of The Galaxy Vol.3 is one of the films that has the best plot in this phase of The Multiverse Saga MCU.

How come? The storytelling is so neat by slowly exposing the fate of the Guardians after Avengers: End Game. In this film, the Guardians will be preoccupied with a mission to save Rocket, a member of the dying Guardians. On the other hand, James Gunn successfully ups and downs the audience's emotions for more than two hours because of a series of mind-blowing scenes.

In a complex main conflict, fans will be presented with the slick actions of several characters without losing the main focus of the story. Even though it's the third film, Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 3 isn't a heavy spectacle for those of you who haven't watched the first and second films.

Revealing Deeper Past One GOTG Member

In the Guardians of The Galaxy Vol.3 trailer, you will find Rocket, who is pretty much the highlight in it. This is because the focus of the story is the actions of the Guardians to save Rocket.

Therefore, this film produced by Kevin Feige will reveal many things about the past of the character played by Bradley Cooper, For you Rocket fans, Guardians of The Galaxy Vol.3 could be your favorite Marvel film this year!

Heartwarming Story of Guardians of The Galaxy Vol.3!

It's undeniable, several MCU films have heartwarming stories, one of which is Avengers: Endgame. Of course, Guardians of The Galaxy Vol.3 is not an exception. If you cried during Avengers: Endgame, chances are you can cry too in the Guardians of The Galaxy trilogy.

This film will raise further about the meaning of togetherness and friendship. There will be several successful characters and scenes that will move you to tears.

How? So you're even more curious and excited to watch it, right?

So the answer to all the fan theories

Long before entering phase five, many Marvel fans had theorized about this Guardians of The Galaxy Vol.3 film. Like the theory that Thor will appear in the film, Gamora who is back with Star Lord, the addition of Guardians members, to the retirement of Star Lord as Guardians.

Wow! Of the many theories, which one is correct? In order to find out the truth, James Gunn has answered all of these theories through the film Guardians of The Galaxy Vol.3.

Break the 'Bad' Curse of the Marvel Movie Trilogy

For lovers of MCU films since the early phases, maybe you had a bit of trust issues when Marvel released the trilogy. Because several films that have a trilogy such as Iron Man 3, Captain America: Civil War, to Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania are considered disappointing.

Even some fans think that the third film of every MCU hero is better not to watch than to destroy expectations.

However, this trilogy from Guardians of The Galaxy succeeded in breaking the curse and became one of the best trilogy films. The film, starring Chris Pratt, successfully won positive ratings and comments from various film critics.

There are several reasons why you must watch this James Gunn franchise film. How? The more curious to watch, right?

This film is now available in your favorite cinemas and Happy Watching!!

Filming began that May in Atlanta, Georgia, and concluded in August. Shazam! Fury of the Gods premiered at TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood on March 9, 2023, and is scheduled to be released in the United States on March 17, 2023.

Review Shazam! Fury of the Gods

With a duration of 2 hours and 10 minutes, this film begins with the continuation of the Shazam family story after the first film. In this sequel, the six orphans who turn into Shazam are well known for their actions in Philadelphia. Instead of being known as great superheroes, they are known as cowardly superheroes. Even so, they still do not back down to help people in need.

This film focuses on Billy Batson who feels himself to be the leader of the superhero group. However, what he didn't realize, each member had their own life that he couldn't interfere with. In addition, because they are still teenagers, except for Mary, their egos are still high and they are still struggling to find their identity. Meanwhile, high school-style love stories cannot just pass from their lives.

Freddy's encounter with Anne changes the dynamics of the Shazam family. AGB's love story wrapped in their egos makes this film feel relatable. Freddy felt as a superhero, he could do anything that he couldn't do in his original form. On the other hand, he also wants to show who he is without having to depend on Billy and the others. This wish was opposed by Billy, who felt that the responsibility for the entire Shazam family was in his hands.

This dynamic is one of the focuses of Shazam! Fury of the Gods. The small dispute between Billy and Freddy feels relatable to many people's lives. In addition, in the midst of this search for identity, Billy also changed. Even though he still has an unstable teenage soul and has a big ego, Billy finally knows his responsibility to his family, not only to himself. This development is certainly good for the growth of everyone in this film.

The theme of family that is carried by this sequel does not only occur in the protagonist's camp, but also the antagonist's. They are the three children of Atlas. They face their own problems with the desire to avenge their father's death. A burning desire for revenge had blinded one of them. Chaos ensued and they were involved in their own conflict.

All of this does not escape being the butt of jokes in this film. In one scene, Shazam quotes Dominic Toretto in Fast and Furious: It's all about family. Not only Fast and Furious, this film also quotes a number of other films including jokes related to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). However, these hilarious dialogues are just right and not too exaggerated. This is what makes the humor more interesting than the previous film.

Not only dialogue, this film also has many funny scenes. People will definitely laugh out loud seeing the behavior of Shazam and his family. Everything is enhanced by the presence of the Witch, played by Djimoun Hounsou. The figure depicted as old is no less laughable with his hilarious jokes. The action in this film is pretty decent. Even though it's not as grand as other superhero films, it's quite entertaining and fun to watch. Various kinds of monsters that are presented also add to the excitement of this film. The additional elements of horror make this film feel a bit different from other superhero films. Meanwhile, there are several scenes that will remind people of the film Doctor Strange. On the other hand, this film can unite action with drama without overlapping portions. The emotions that occur are deeper than the previous film.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods also has a lighter tone than other DC films. This film is also the funniest of the other films in this franchise. People who like superhero films, regardless of the origin of the franchise, will enjoy this film because it is entertaining. In addition, Shazam could be one of the franchises in the DCEU that James Gunn and Peter Safran will bring to the DCU if this film is successful at the box office and critics. From the initial response, this film is quite promising.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods balances character development and action throughout this film. This sequel shows a change in the main character. Although maturity is still on the last list, this is precisely its hallmark. A number of conflicts in this film are resolved by means of children, even though they are in the form of adults.

Movie CREED III Review: All Solid Character Roles

Movie CREED III starring Michael B. Jordan. This time, they are back with a continuation through Creed III which is said to be showing an interesting story and an intense and interesting boxing fight. Check out our review!

Story premise Creed 3

Here Adonis Creed – the undisputed heavyweight boxing champion decides to retire with honor with a loving family and a successful management career in Creed III. He is married to Bianca (Tessa Thompson), a talented musician who turns to production when her hearing loss gets worse. Amara (Mila Davis Kent), their hearing impaired daughter, is intelligent and also a fighter like her father.

To give him a milestone, Adonis even trains Felix Chavez (Jose Benavidez), the new heavyweight champion. Even though they seem to be enjoying life so far, something is about to change.

Adonis' life has completely changed again due to the unexpected arrival of Damian Anderson (Jonathan Majors), who has just been released from prison after nearly two decades. They are more than just friends, they are practically brothers as both of them lived in an orphanage together during their youth. Damian is ready to continue his boxing career as he is also a former amateur boxer and asks if Adonis is willing to help him get his chance.

The audience later learned that due to a violent altercation this resulted in Damian spending half his life in prison, while Adonis managed to escape and found great glory. So these two people have their own history and grudges.

Damian didn't just appear out of thin air by chance, but he is a constant reminder of a childhood friendship that didn't pan out. Because of this, Adonis is easily cajoled into giving Damian a shot at the title, but nothing goes well in the movie, does it? But, this then leads to a big fight between Adonis and Damian.

Intense Storyline Creed 3

With Creed III, Michael B. Jordan made his feature film directorial debut. I think he made a pretty solid debut being able to produce amazing performances from his co-stars and himself, as well as capturing the series' iconic and awesome fights so well. I'm aware that some people doubt his ability as a director, but luckily, Michael B. Jordan proved them wrong by doing an outstanding job in Creed III.

He displayed an uncanny knack by going beyond the logic of a typical boxing film to turn a screenplay into an intense character-driven drama. This is obvious as everything moves at a constant pace as Jordan takes time to develop his characters and plot, leaving enough space for us to feel drawn into their conflict.

The absence of Stallone, the creator of this series, is arguably the most striking change in Creed III. Stallone is still on board with the film as a producer, but other than that he's leaving everything to Jordan.

Michael B. Jordan may have played the main character in the first two "Creed" films. However, Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) is still an important link between this spin-off film and the original “Rocky” franchise. By eliminating Rocky, Creed III provides an opportunity for Adonis to step out of the shadow of the former main character to walk his own path.

All Solid Character Roles

Michael B. Jordan gives the character of Adonis 'His Creed' significant charisma and personality. Jordan does an excellent job controlling his character, whether he is fighting opponents in the ring or when he is interacting with his family which often includes speechless conversations spoken in Sign Language between him and his daughter, Amara. Overall, he is really great and I understand why he is such a famous actor in Hollywood.

The same goes for the rest of the cast, particularly Tessa Thompson, what I love is that Jordan really values the supporting cast. She had her own moments to shine, playing Adonis' wife with personal struggles namely hearing loss but still supporting her husband until the end.

After that, there is Jonathan Majors, who is known as one of the best antagonist roles in the “Rocky” series. He is undeniably a capable actor, and effortlessly delivers as Danien who goes from a former criminal seeking a fresh start to a villain with a hidden agenda who betrays Adonis. Even though he is still very cruel, manipulative, cruel and loves to play dirty, I can't help feeling sympathy after knowing more about his background. He really excels in those kinds of roles, even in Ant-Man 3.

Detailed Picture

Kramer Morgenthau, who previously worked on “Creed II,” returned behind the camera and captured the film from dramatic angles, dark shadows around the ring to emphasize the more intense fights, and cast vivid colors in warm scenes.

He also made unexpected improvements to the formula. By using slow motion techniques in combat, this allows the audience to participate in a moment-by-moment analysis of each punch, as Adonis sees weaknesses in the opponent's defense and so on.

This was particularly true of the first and last matches, where they used a combination of fast-paced camera angles and slow-motion shots of the furious punches. What can I say, I like this approach, because boxing is not all about fighting. Boxers also need to think about strategy. With Creed using more strategic camera techniques in his film, this film shows a tactical side of this sport that is different from the majority of other similar films.

While Creed III's visuals are stunning and full of detail, it's annoying when some parts of the arena show "fake" crowds of spectators. This stands in stark contrast to the rest of the film's aesthetic.

Conclusion

Creed III still sticks to some of the boxing movie formulas we've seen so many times before, but actor-director Michael B. Jordan has shown that he has what it takes to make a great sequel, and more importantly, a much better sequel to 2018 sequel.

Although still a sequel to Rocky, Creed III finally acknowledges that Adonis' story now has a completely separate identity, and the freedom to make his own decisions and develop. Creed III is a cool sequel that took a risk and did it.

With good looks, great cinematography and a strong script, Creed III is a story about never giving up, friendship and letting go of the past. Because of this, Creed III earns its place among the best boxing films by being a medium that shows detailed fist fights, not just fist fights about revenge.
